About
Gabriel Ebulue is a heavily bearded mirth dispensary. He has carved out a niche for himself as a fresh and exciting voice on the comedy scene, blending a mix of surrealism, satire, and absurd observations to create tasty hilarity treats that take the form of jokes. These jokes are said out loud to overjoyed humans in comedy clubs across the country, making Gabriel a must-see act.
He is the creator and host of the top-rated podcast: The Three Track Podcast, which has featured the likes of Nish Kumar, Robin Ince, Hari Kondabolu, James Acaster, and Reggie Watts. Within a year of launching, the podcast has been featured in The Guardian, in iTunes' New and Noteworthy, and was also featured by Spotify. The show has been invited to be performed and recorded live at Latitude Festival, Green Man Festival, Machynlleth Comedy Festival, and many more. Gabriel has also been a recurring guest on BBC 6 Music and BBC 5 Live and has been invited to moderate and host events at the Southbank about music and the culture surrounding it.
In 2019 he wrote and featured in a documentary for BBC Radio 4 produced by Gemma Cairney's Boom Shakalaka Productions.
‘Karaoke Rage’ was praised, and Gabriel continues developing new music documentary ideas.
Quotes:
“Ebulue refreshingly steers away from clichéd routines and stereotypes”
- Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke
"Gabriel Ebulue's open account of his misplaced youth went down brilliantly. A shockingly good act."
- West Midlands Comedy Forum
“Gabriel is very angelic. He is also very helpful”
- God
“I found him to be quite edgy and likable, but I felt the racism material was unnecessary and just too stereotypical, which contradicted the point he seemed to make re not being a stereotype. He would have made more of a statement by not bringing that subject up. There are other things in the world to joke about. None of the others on the lineup went on about being white men, so why make your ethnicity an issue? Time to move on.”
- Timeo Talk, tiemotalkofthetown
"Gabriel's set is beautifully crafted & delivered with tons of really laugh-out-loud moments. His performance is so effortless he gives the impression he was born to do stand up."
- Keyna Doran, Chipping Campden Comedy Club
